Career Preparation Education
One of the special features of the Career Preparation Education program is that it uses the businesses of the community as training labs. This arrangement requires the best relationship between the student and school, and between the student and business. Cooperative Education is a multi-occupational career education program for approved students. It combines occupationally related classroom instruction with and on-the-job training experiences. Training placements may be in occupations approved for cooperative education programs. Students enrolled in the Ready Set Teach program and Hospitality programs intern at various businesses to acquire occupational knowledge and experience in all aspects of the business or industry. Clinical Rotations are a work based health occupations educational and training environment that requires written cooperative arrangement between local hospitals, nursing homes and AISD high schools. Students will cycle through various aspects of the health occupations industry to acquire full appreciation of all elements in the work-based environment.
