The Austin Independent School District is committed to providing an exemplary, meaningful physical education curriculum to all its students by identifying core competencies, concepts, and content for teachers and students in all classrooms throughout the district. The following document is a collaborative effort of the Physical Education Task Force Writing Team comprised of physical education teachers K–12 and the Advisory Team comprised of teachers, students, parents, administrators, as well as higher education and community representatives.
