The College Readiness Initiative serves AISD students and their families by seeking the equitable and successful enrollment of all students in a post-secondary educational program. CRI provides focused academic support and intervention, and increased knowledge of and guidance through the post-secondary enrollment process. ACC/AISD College Connection Austin Independent School District (AISD) and Austin Community College (ACC) are committed to ensuring that all of our graduates have the knowledge and skills needed to successfully enroll in postsecondary education. This collaboration provides senior students in all twelve of our high schools the opportunity to achieve their postsecondary educational goals. Advanced Placement (AP) Strategies AP Strategies is a program in seven Austin Independent School District high schools that works with high school staff and students to increase the numbers of students enrolling in Advanced Placement courses, taking Advanced Placement test and receiving a score of "3" or better on those tests. The AVID program takes a group of students in the academic middle of their class, puts them into a rigorous course of study and trains them to be advanced academic students by giving them a daily elective that provides academic support, skills development, and a positive place to belong. Dell Math Academy This program provides targeted academic support to students, who with this intervention can gain the necessary skills to complete the recommended high school plan and move into post secondary educational opportunities. This program helps students with every facet of seeking admission to and enrolling in a college or other type of post secondary institution. |
